StructureScan Data Example

The data example on the right contains post-tension cables and is displayed using GSSI's new Super 3D module. These data were obtained at the top level of a parking garage in Minnesota, on an area recently repaired and overlaid with concrete.

The progression of the three depth slices clearly indicates that the reinforcement elements trending left-to-right display the typical, draped pattern of post-tension (P.T.) cable installation. As the P.T. cables extend from one end of the slab to the other, they also "sag" between their primary support elements - almost to the bottom of the slab.

Upper 3D depth slice shows top of tension cables (left-to-right) "draped" over reinforcement at left, center and right.

In middle depth slice, the same cables begin to appear in the two gaps where they couldn't be seen at shallower depths.

Deeper "sags" in the cable seen more clearly than draped regions, which were prominent in the shallower depth slices.
